Bolivia Weather
Located on the southern hemisphere the cold seasons (fall and winter) go from May to September and the hot seasons (spring and summer) from October to April, also considered as the rainy season. The climate varies a lot in Bolivia, depending on the region and geography, going from freezing cold in the Andean region (La Paz, Oruro and Potosi), to scorching hot in the Bolivian Amazon region (Pando, Beni and Santa Cruz).
As you can see on the graphic below, La Paz located on the west side of the country is colder than Santa Cruz, on the Amazon basin. The mid way point betwen the Andean cold weather and the rain forest heat of the Amazon could be found in the valleys region (Cochabamba, Chuquisaca and Tarija). As you can see on the above mentioned graphic, Cochabamba located in the heart of the country has the mildest and driest weather.
